Modeless +channels
Next to starting a channel name with a '#' (normal channel) or a '&'
(local channel), one can now start a channel name with a '+' to get a "modeless
channel". A modeless channel has no channel operators. The purpose of a
modeless channel is create an environment where users are all equal and
not tempted to fight about ops. Harassment in the form of channel flooding
should be dealt with by either leaving the channel or ignoring the flood.
In order to prohibit special types of annoying flooding the following
applies to modeless channels:
The channel mode is always +nt
It is not possible to set a topic.
It is not possible to use the /INVITE command on a modeless channel. (Use
a private message instead).
